The Birth of Seth in 3870 B.C.
Seth was born to Adam at the age of 130. Eve said, "God has appointed me another seed instead of Abel whom Cain killed." After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 more years and had other sons and daughters.
Enos was born to Seth at the age of 105 in 3765 B.C.
Cainan was born to Enos at the age of 90 in 3625 B.C.
Mahalaleel was born to Cainan at the age of 70 in 3555 B.C.
Jared was born to Mahalaleel at the age of 65 in 3490 B.C.
Enoch was born to Jared at the age of 162 in 3328 B.C.
Enoch was translated by God at the age of 365. As a Prophet of God, Enoch said, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him." [Gen 5:23-24; Jude 1:14-15]... This is a prophecy of the end times and the 2nd coming of Christ - see Rev 19: 11-16.
Methuselah was born to Enoch at the age of 65 in 3263 B.C.
Methuselah is the 8th generation from Adam through Seth.
Lamech was born to Methuselah at the age of 187 in 3101 B.C.
Lamech is the 8th generation from Adam through Cain.
Lamech's sons Jabal, Jubal (mother Ada), and Tubal-Cain and his daughter Naamah (mother Zillah) were born to him through his two wives. Jabal was the father of all those who dwell in tents and have livestock. Jubal was the father of all those who play the harp and flute. Tubal-Cain an instructor of every craftsman in bronze and iron. The use of iron followed bronze. This is the first reference to a man having two wives. Lamech states, "Adah and Zillah, hear my voice; O wives of Lamech, listen to my speech! For I have killed a man for wounding me, even a young man for hurting me. If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, then Lamech seventy-sevenfold.".
Noah was born to Lamech at the age of 182 - in 2919 B.C.
Lamech said, "This one will comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground that the Lord cursed."Timeline
